Lakeside Media public relations was established in March 2012 in Exeter by Andrew Howard, a former deputy editor of the city’s newspaper the Express & Echo and its sister title, the Mid Devon Gazette.
He had been at the Exeter paper for almost 20 years, and has worked in the media for a quarter of a century.
In his time at the Express & Echo he served in a variety of roles, including as chief sub editor, production editor, picture editor and assistant editor.
He was deputy editor for almost six years before leaving in 2012.
Andrew has had vast experience in all aspects of newspaper and website production, from writing and taking pictures to designing and editing.
As the Express & Echo was at one point a nine-edition-a-day evening newspaper, Andrew boasted of having produced more front pages than he had had hot dinners.
He has, however, undertaken a huge variety of production and management roles, including training print and web journalists.
